Today’s book review is a review of The Knitters Book of Yarn: The Ultimate Guide to Choosing, Using, and Enjoying Yarn by Clara Parkes. I bought this book when it first came out last fall and I thoroughly enjoyed reading the entire book. I was very new to knitting when I bought this book but I wanted to be able to substitute yarns without having it mess up the pattern and this book taught me exactly that. I would suggest this book for any level of knitter who wants to know what different fibers act like when you knit them and what types of knitting they are good for. Even if you know this information the patterns in the back of the book are worth buying the book for. All of them are amazing and almost all of the yarns suggested are from small yarn companies. I would give this book a 5 out of 5.
As far as my knitting goes I will have photos of my progress on my Hex Coat that I started on Friday and photos of progress on my self striping sock and possibly my other projects (depending on how much I get done today) tomorrow.
